Digital Radiography
Digital x-rays are new technology in the dental field, providing 85% less radiation than traditional radiography. The results are immediately sent to a computer screen which allows us to provide a more efficient diagnosis, to show you, the patient, what is wrong, and to explain what we need to do fix the problem.
Bridge
More than one crown bonded together to fill in a space where several teeth are missing. Bridges are also most commonly made with gold and porcelain.
invisalign
Invisalign treatment is the process of wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth. No brackets and wires, and none of the restrictions that come with metal braces.
filling
We provide both amalgam (silver) and composite (tooth colored) fillings, which are designed to fully restore a tooth to its original shape and function after a space has been created by decay or wear.
root canal therapy
A dental procedure through which damaged/diseased soft tissue is removed from the interior of a tooth, and replaced with a permanent filling and capped with a dental crown.
dental implant
An artificial root form positioned under the gums to replace a missing tooth or teeth. The dental implant can also be used to stabilize a full denture. The implants are commonly made of titanium and have a good track record of success.
crown
A protective cap which is used when there is not enough tooth structure to support a filling. Crowns can be made of many different materials, gold and porcelain being the most common types.
mouth guard
A plastic dental appliance, which is used to inhibit the grinding or clenching of teeth at night; often easing tension in the jaw muscles.
nitrous oxide
Also referred to as 'laughing gas,' is a commonly used dental sedative and when used conjunction with local anesthetics, it can significantly numb a dental patient's sensitivity to pain.
