Dr. Larry McCoy retires
December 16, 2019
Dear friends and patients,
For some time now, patients have asked me when I was going to retire. I would reply that when I found someone who I thought would take good care of my patients and staff, I would pass the mantle along. I believe I have found that person; Dr. Tyler Burningham will be taking over in early January 2020.
Dr. Burningham graduated Tufts Dental School in 2008 and joined a dental practice in Radford that same summer. He and wife, Ann, married in 2000 and have three children. He loves family activities and sports. He enjoys running, tennis, basketball and college sports.
Professionally, Dr. Burningham enjoys building relationships with his patients. I think you will find him a dentist who takes a conservative approach to dental treatment and values providing quality services to those he serves.
I have been blessed to have purchased this practice from Dr. Wilson Harper in 2006. He attracted the nicest people in Blacksburg and surrounding localities to be his patients. I have really enjoyed the privilege of getting to know and treat our patients. We have established relationships and laughed together over these 13 years. You were very supportive when I lost my wife in 2017 and many continue to express concern and comfort. Thank you for this amazing opportunity to serve and get to know you.
Dr. Burningham will maintain the same staff you look forward to visiting. They have been hardworking and have made the practice what it is today. Please place the same trust you have shown me to Dr. Burningham. I will miss you all but am satisfied that I have sought a professional who will continue our relationship and care.
Sincerely,
Larry W. McCoy, D.D.S.
